The aim of the study is to learn if a new medication is effective in slowing the progression of the disease. Participants need to be between the ages of 50 and 80, have a diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease and have a caregiver who can also be involved in the study. Participants will be asked to attend 15 study visits over 83 weeks, receive six infusions of the drug every 13 weeks for 65 weeks and have blood tests and other clinical exams.
